The Rewilding Retreat II
Reconnect with your creative power in the land of Fire and Ice
Hosted by Tamara Paskey-Alexander in Iceland, May 19-23, 2025
SOLD OUT
Who is this retreat for?
Are you a professional female portrait or boudoir photographer? Have you been in the industry for 2 years or more? Have you felt un-inspired and need to reignite your creative spirit? Do you want to connect with likeminded women in a safe space for you to be vulnerable?
Then this retreat is for you.
I have been to Iceland 5 times, and will continue to go back year after year, for good reason. Even though I have traveled the world and photographed women in incredible places, there is something very special about Iceland. There is a different kind of peace that you will feel in your soul. It’s very hard to explain, so you must experience it for yourself.
Why Iceland? In 2019 I went to Iceland for the first time for a fine art nude photo trip, and fell in love. I was wanting an experience outside of the studio, and I was dealing with next-level burnout, so this seemed like the perfect escape. What I didn’t expect to happen, was that I would want to go back year after year, and get the healing feeling that Iceland gives. Now, 5 trips, and 5 years later, the connection to the land is still so strong.
Photographing women with no outfits, and no manmade structures in one of the most awe inspiring locations on earth, allows me to get back to my true wild, natural creativity, and I know it will do the same for you. I can’t wait to share my passion with you in May!

Shoot
Get out of the studio and into the raw, untouched nature of Iceland. We will photograph professional models, Icelandic Selkie, Jessica Yupele, Herodiade, and Jazmyn Raymay in their wild, artful form in breathtaking locations. It’s a way to think outside of the grind of the studio and create imagery that speaks to your soul. The otherworldly places we have planned for our shoots will make you say “WOW” over and over again.

Connect
Taking a trip with likeminded female photographers, away from the normal stresses of daily life can help you get back to YOU. We will have open discussions about burnout, being a creative business owner, and how to manifest what you want out of life and business! There’s something special sharing a unique experience like this that leads to lifelong friendships you can call to when the support is needed.

Create
As a busy studio owner who has gone through high-level burnout, I not only understand the importance of creating for yourself, but I actively seek out photography adventures to help with this. Doing small retreats are the perfect way to re-ignite creativity and get out of what we all, as business owners, are “supposed to” be doing. Photographing fine art nudes in incredible lanscapes is a fantastic way to set our inner magic free.
Our last Rewilding Retreat in August, 2024 was incredible. Check out some of the testimonials & images below!
• “Ladies, growth doesn’t always come in the form of self-help books, meditation, or yoga (and trust me, I love all of those). Sometimes it looks like THIS- like saying a big, bold YES without hesitation, self-doubt, or excuses. Sometimes it looks like digging down and channeling that wild, untamed woman that is inside us all and letting her take the wheel for a bit. Ahh, it's the best feeling ever.” -Ms. J
• “I was […] with other photographers in Iceland, supporting them, and being supported by them, cheering each other on, finding friendship, being creative in our own way, and in ways that stretched our usual sensibilities. 8 women of all different backgrounds and lives coming together to make art without expectation, jealousy, or competition. Women supporting women in a beautiful, awe inspiring environment, and I am very grateful to have been a part of it.” -Ms. S
• “I honestly had no idea how much I was going to get out of this trip. I didn’t have any expectations. It has changed EVERYTHING. Literally everything. […] I’m scaling back on things that no longer serve me so I can get back to being the creative that I really am.” -Ms. N
• “The Rewilding Retreat in Iceland was more than I ever could have imagined! In addition to the appeal of visiting Iceland, was the opportunity to connect with the fabulous [women]. Lifelong memories and bonds were made during this trip.” -Ms. K

F.A.Q.
Q. Can I bring my other half? A. No, please come alone, or with your best photographer girlfriend. We want you to connect with the other women in the group and focus on getting back to your creative self. However, I highly recommend staying a few extra days to explore, you can always do that with your other half!
Q. How much hiking will there be? A. Easy to moderate hiking all under 30 minutes. We will not be hiking miles to each place, but having decent mobility is necessary for safety. Most of the terrain is uneven and rocky, so sturdy hiking boots are a must.
Q. Can you make recommendations for flights and other places to stay before/after the retreat? A. Yes! I’m an expert trip planner, just let me know you’d like some help.
Q. Is it cold and rainy all the time? A. It varies! In late May the weather starts to become a bit more bearable but it’s always a bit cold, especially in the morning. Having proper rain gear, wool, and layers will make it much more enjoyable. We will send out a detailed packing list.
I’ve never traveled alone out of the country, is it hard? A. Nope! Iceland is very welcoming. Just make sure your passport is up to date & doesn’t expire within 6 months of your departure date, and you check your airline’s luggage restrictions! Most major credit cards have no foreign transaction fees, so you probably won’t even need to exchange cash. Taxis are readily available and safe right out the main airport terminal doors. And bonus, almost all Icelanders speak fluent English!
Q. What is the cancellation policy? A. The fee to book is nonrefundable as this is such a niche event with a low number of attendees. I highly recommend travel insurance. If something happens on our end and we need to cancel the event, you will receive a full refund.
Q. Will I have time to sight see? A. There is generally not an opportunity to sight see alone on our route. Everything must be accessed by car. If you’re wanting a touristy, individual sightseeing experience, we suggest arriving a day or two early to explore Reykjavik & surrounding areas.
