The Details

Dates: Friday, January 31st & Saturday, February 1st Right before Imaging USA begins!

Where: Tamara’s 4500 square foot boudoir studio near downtown Dallas, TX (photos below)

Cost: $1600 Capped at 16 attendees

Meals: A light breakfast, and catered lunch each day

Models: 4 Professional models provided, including a fine art model from Paris, and a burlesque dancer, with full vintage styling featuring lingerie by Thistle & Spire.

Type of Workshop: Seated classes with business, mindset, and customer service topics. Hands-on classes photographing models while learning new posing and lighting techniques.

  3. The Art of Boudoir Details: How to photograph the finer details to create a full gallery and sell wall art that your clients will cherish.

  4. Gorgeous Gatsby: Stylized in 20’s flapper style with pastel asethetics, using a mix of modern and vintage posing

Tamara’s Classes:

  1. Balancing Burnout & Business: How to recognize patterns within yourself and how to combat burnout in healthy ways

  2. A Niche Within a Niche: Finding your superpower and standing out as a unique artist will help you attract your dream clients

  3. The Luxury Studio: Designing your studio to attract the right clients, and building a wardrobe closet

  4. Fine Art Posing: Incorporating posing from historic art, and understanding movement for impactful, timeless imagery. Nudes & flowing fabrics with a professional fine art model!

  5. Burlesque Beauty: Incorporating burlesque/pinup styling & movement to pull sultry attitude out of your clients

Both days will have a combination of seated learning and hands-on photography, from 9:30am to 5:30pm.

    Life as Fine Art is not only Cate’s business name, but true to her aesthetic and photographic style. Timeless beauty is something every single one her clients knows they will get out of their experience with her. She has taught at countless conferences, retreats, and workshops throughout her career, such as WPPI and AIBP. Her unique background in marketing gives her an edge in understanding the psychological side of owning a boudoir business.

    Whether it’s in a studio or on an iceberg, Tamara is passionate about capturing women’s power and unique beauty in a timeless way. She has owned a brick & mortar boudoir studio for almost 15 years, and has gone into fine art nudes in nature within the last 5 years. She has has photographed thousands of women, hired full time staff, moved studios to new states, and gone through all the ups and downs we experience as creative business owners. She can’t wait to share her burnout story with you, and how she now stays true to herself in her unique niche.

Q: Can I share a room with my spouse or best friend? A: Yes! We will put you in a queen or king private room for $1900 each. Please email directly to hello@tamarapaskeyeducation.com to make this request.

Q: How long of a drive is Braun Manor from The Gaylord Texan? A: It is approximately an Hour & 15 minute drive.

Q: Can I bring my spouse who is a non-photographer? A: No, only paid attendees may come to the manor

Q: Can I come if I am an educator myself? A: Yes! you are welcome. We do have a noncompete & non-disclosure agreement with the course material though.

Q: Do you have payment options? A: No, in this case, we recommending putting the cost on a credit card with points!

Q: Is there a hotel nearby if I choose to be a “drive-in” attendee? A: There is a Hilton Garden Inn in Denison within 13 minutes of Braun Manor

Q: What is the cancellation policy? A: Retreat tickets are non-refundable. But in the case of emergency, your ticket may be transferred to a new person with the permission of Tamara & Cate

Q: What happens if it snows? A: We recommend getting travel insurance from CHUBB. The retreat will happen whether it snows or not. If we must cancel in the event of natural disaster, we will refund you in full.

The Fine Print

We are curating a high quality, accepting retreat. Booking online does not signify your confirmation. If we deem you to be the wrong fit for the retreat, we will refund you and notify you of this decision. Photography educators must disclose that they are educators prior to booking via hello@tamarapaskeyeducation.com. The material, content learned, and imagery taken at the retreat are not permitted to be used in your own educational materials. Images taken at the retreat may not be entered in competitions. However, images may be used on your client facing photography business’s portfolio and social media. Ticket refunds will not be given in any instance besides the retreat being canceled in full. Please purchase travel insurance. This retreat will feature boudoir and fine art nude imagery, as well as have wine at dinner, which is why our minimum age is 21 years old. By attending this retreat, you must have a solid understanding of manual camera settings in all lighting situations, and well as have worked with women in portrait settings previously.
